About the Formula 1 Trivia Quiz

The Formula 1 World Championship has run every year since 1950, when Giuseppe Farina took the first drivers' title for Alfa Romeo. Since then it has grown into a global series of around 24 races a season, with two championships decided each year: one for drivers and one for constructors, the teams that design and build the cars. This quiz draws on the whole history, so a question about Fangio in the 1950s sits next to one about the current grid.

The fifteen questions cover champions, race-winning records, circuits, technical rules and the moments that defined each era: Ayrton Senna's qualifying laps, Michael Schumacher's five straight titles with Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel's four in a row with Red Bull, and Max Verstappen's run of championships from 2021. You may be asked who has the most career wins, which country hosts the Monaco Grand Prix, or how points are awarded.

Every question has a single correct answer and is marked immediately. Your final percentage sets your tier: Legend at 80 per cent and above, Expert from 60, Fan from 40 and Rookie below that. There is no time pressure, no sign-up and no cap on retakes, so it is easy to go again and chase a better result.

The table below lists the drivers with the most world titles, which is a good place to start revising. The related quizzes let you match your personality to a driver or switch codes entirely and test your football history.
