What Is This Tool?
A Universally Unique Identifier (UUID), also known as a GUID, is a 128-bit identifier standardized by RFC 4122 and RFC 9562 to guarantee uniqueness across distributed systems without central coordination.
Why It Matters
UUIDs are the industry standard for primary keys in databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), API transaction IDs, and distributed tracing.
