What Is This Tool?
A giveaway picker selects one or more winners randomly from a list of entries you provide. This tool uses a local list you paste in; for platform-specific entry scraping you would need platform APIs. Transparency and verifiability are critical for giveaway fairness, and this tool makes it easy to prove a winner was chosen without bias. Everything runs in your browser, so the entry list is never uploaded and you can run the draw offline once the page has loaded.
Why It Matters
Manual winner selection from thousands of entries is impractical and looks biased even when it is not. A random picker that you can screenshot and share publicly proves the winner was chosen fairly. For brands and creators, this protects credibility and satisfies platform giveaway guidelines that typically require a verifiable fair random selection method. Many jurisdictions also draw a legal line between a prize draw and a lottery, and a documented random selection is part of staying on the right side of it.
Preparing a clean entry list
The quality of the draw depends entirely on the list you paste in. Before picking, remove obvious duplicates unless your rules explicitly allow one entry per comment, strip out the brand's own account and any bot replies, and decide how you handle people who entered several times - either dedupe to one line each or keep the repeats deliberately so extra entries genuinely raise their odds. Put one entrant per line. If your rules require actions you cannot see in the raw list, such as following the account, verify the drawn winner against that requirement before announcing and re-draw if they do not qualify.
How the selection works
Each line in your box is one entry with an equal chance. When you click Pick, the tool generates a random index into the list and returns that entry; for multiple winners with 'remove on pick' enabled, each selected name is taken out of the pool so nobody can win twice. The draws are independent and unweighted - the tool does not know or care who entered first, who has the most followers, or who was picked in your last giveaway. If you need weighted odds, add a name to the list as many times as the weight you want it to have.
Making the result verifiable
Screen-record the moment you press Pick, with the full entry list and the winner both visible in the recording, and post that clip or a screenshot alongside the announcement. State up front how many winners you are drawing and the tie-break or re-draw rule for disqualified entries. This record is what protects you if a losing entrant claims the draw was rigged, and it is now an expectation of most brand and platform giveaway guidelines for higher-value prizes.
